South Korean carmaker unveiled its first electric car, the Torres EVX, at the Seoul Mobility Show. The electric SUV, which has a driving range of 500 kilometers on a single charge and uses lithium-iron-phosphate batteries made by BYD Co., will be available in South Korea and Europe in the second half of this year, priced at less than $30,700 after subsidies in Korea. The carmaker plans to maintain its partnership with BYD in the long term, according to Chairman Kwak Jaesun.
