Italian scooter manufacturer Piaggio & C SpA has announced the release of a limited edition Vespa scooter with a unique design featuring the iconic Disney character - Mickey Mouse. The design was created to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney company.
The Vespa Primavera 50cc, 125cc and 150cc models have been painted in black, red, white, and yellow to reflect the colors of Mickey Mouse. Accompanying the scooter, Piaggio has also produced a matching helmet in the same colors.
This is not the first time that Piaggio has partnered with other brands or celebrities to launch a collaboration. In 2020, they designed the Vespa 946 Christian Dior in partnership with the French luxury brand. Furthermore, in the same year, they launched the Vespa Sprint model which was co-designed by Justin Bieber.
The Vespa also played a role in the Disney-Pixar animation movie ‘Luca’, set in the Italian Riviera. This collaboration between Piaggio and Walt Disney further cements the scooter manufacturer's reputation for producing premium quality vehicles with distinctive design features.
