Israel's military has intercepted an unidentified aircraft along its northern and southern borders. Reports suggest that Israeli planes have been conducting multiple attacks on targets in Syria in recent days. On Sunday night, the Israeli military stated that it had shot down an aircraft that entered Israeli territory from the direction of Syria, but it posed no threat at any point. Early on Monday, an Israeli fighter jet intercepted another aircraft over the Gaza Strip, although it did not cross into Israeli territory and did not pose any threat. These incidents follow increasing tensions between Israel and the Palestinians and reports of three Israeli airstrikes in Syria over the past five days.

During the Syrian civil war, Iran and its allies, including Hezbollah in Lebanon, have provided military support to Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad. Israel is concerned about Iran's presence near its borders and its ongoing uranium enrichment program, which it sees as a major threat. Israel has accused Iran of pursuing nuclear weapons, while Tehran claims that its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes. Iran also supports militant groups in Gaza, including Hamas, which rules the territory.

Although Israel has not officially commented on the recent airstrikes in Syria, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that domestic opposition to his government's proposed judicial reforms will not affect the country's efforts to combat its enemies. However, there is growing opposition among hundreds of reservists and conscripts, including pilots, who have threatened not to report for duty if the government moves forward with its plan to diminish the power of the country's courts.

Meanwhile, Israel's Defense Minister Yoav Gallant is in an uncertain position. Netanyahu dismissed Gallant after the defense minister warned that the conflict over the proposed judicial overhaul could harm the military's readiness, but he did not formally remove him from his post, and Gallant remains in his position.
