This latest acquisition follows Pontegadea's notable entry into the US logistics sector last year, with a substantial investment of $900 million. The move demonstrates Ortega's continuous commitment to diversifying his investment portfolio. Additionally, Pontegadea recently acquired its first European warehouse in the Netherlands, valued at €105 million ($115.2 million). Over the past few decades, Ortega's investment vehicle has consistently invested billions of euros in notable properties globally.

Pontegadea's real estate investments span major cities worldwide, from acquiring the headquarters of Meta Platforms Inc. in Seattle to securing a prime office building leased by Royal Bank of Canada in Toronto. In recent years, the company has expanded its real estate ventures beyond commercial properties, delving into luxury apartments in cities like Dublin and New York. Furthermore, it has also acquired stakes in energy and telecoms infrastructure businesses. Notable acquisitions in 2021 alone include a residential building in Dublin and former BBC offices in London.

Ortega's real estate portfolio, which showcases his prowess in the industry, is currently the largest among Europe's ultra-wealthy individuals, with an estimated value of €15.3 billion. The billionaire businessman's investments continue to demonstrate his astute entrepreneurial acumen and strategic foresight.

With this latest acquisition, Ortega positions himself as not only a prominent figure in the fashion industry but also as a significant player in the real estate realm. As Pontegadea expands its network of warehouses in the US and Europe, it solidifies Ortega's position as a notable landlord and investor in diverse sectors.
