Following the volcanic activity, authorities promptly implemented safety measures, prohibiting residents and visitors from engaging in any activities within a 3-kilometer radius around the volcano's crater. Additionally, they have raised the alert level to the second-highest for Marapi mountain, as a precautionary measure.

To ensure the well-being of affected communities, local disaster management units have distributed masks to residents and advised them to remain indoors. It is crucial to protect against the potential health hazards posed by inhaling the volcanic ash, which can cause respiratory issues and other ailments.

Indonesia, situated along the destructive "Ring of Fire" in the Pacific Ocean, boasts a staggering 127 active volcanoes, as reported by the country's volcanology agency. The archipelago is no stranger to volcanic activity and has been continuously monitoring volcanic regions to prevent any potential threats to the population.

Efforts are ongoing to assess the situation and provide timely warnings to safeguard lives and properties. The government and various agencies remain vigilant in monitoring Marapi volcano and will continue to keep a close eye on its activity, offering necessary assistance to affected communities. As always, the primary goal is to ensure the safety and well-being of the people residing near active volcanic areas in Indonesia.
