On Friday, both Elysee Palace and Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles III’s state visit to France has been postponed due to violent protests that occurred during a national strike on Thursday. The British monarch and Queen Consort were supposed to travel to Paris and Bordeaux from Sunday through Wednesday. However, the decision to postpone the visit was made after demonstrators clashed with police in some areas, including Bordeaux. In light of a new national day of action against pension reform on Tuesday, March 28 in France, the visit will be rescheduled at the earliest convenience. The King's visit to Germany, which was scheduled for Wednesday, is still expected to proceed as planned.
