Gwyneth Paltrow made her first official public appearance since winning her ski trial last month, as she attended the Daily Front Row's LA Fashion Awards on Sunday. At the event, Paltrow was honored with the "Powerhouse Brand of the Year" award for her clothing line, G. Label by Goop. In her acceptance speech, she expressed her gratitude for the award and thanked her Goop fashion team for their hard work. Paltrow also joked about her reluctance to attend fittings, thanking her team for "putting up with me."
Entrepreneur Sara Foster presented Paltrow with her award and shared some personal insights about her friend, calling her their "north star." Foster also joked about Paltrow's early bedtime, stating that they aren't allowed to be in her house past 8 pm because she's already asleep by then.
Other notable attendees at the LA Fashion Awards included Kim Kardashian and her daughter North West, Miley Cyrus, Teyana Taylor, Brie Larson, and Keanu Reeves. The event, sponsored by DAOU Vineyards, celebrates visionaries in fashion and Hollywood.
In March, Paltrow won a civil trial against retired optometrist Terry Sanderson, who accused her of crashing into him on the slopes at the Deer Valley Resort in 2016 and leaving him with lasting injuries. Paltrow countersued Sanderson, alleging that he crashed into her. The jury found Paltrow not liable and ruled in her favor in her counterclaim against Sanderson.
Overall, it was a triumphant night for Paltrow, as she celebrated both her legal victory and her success as a fashion entrepreneur.
