Erling Haaland continues to break records in his first season in the English Premier League. The Manchester City forward scored a penalty in the third minute to help his team secure a 2-1 win over Fulham, taking his goal tally for the season to 50 in all competitions. This feat has never been achieved by a Premier League player before, and it's worth noting that Haaland has achieved this in just 44 games.

Haaland is now on track to surpass the record set by Dixie Dean, who scored 63 goals in the 1927/28 season, making him the highest-scoring player in English football history during a single top-flight campaign. The young striker has also equalled Alan Shearer and Andy Cole's record for most goals scored in a Premier League season, with 34 goals to his name so far.

Although the win against Fulham was crucial in moving City to the top of the league, Haaland's impressive performance overshadowed their achievement. With six games remaining in the season, it's likely that Haaland will surpass the records set by Shearer and Cole in the history books.

City's hopes of completing a treble are still alive, as the team remains in contention to win the league, the FA Cup, and the Champions League. With Haaland in such remarkable form, the team has a good chance of achieving this feat.
