In the latest development of the case surrounding Justin Timberlake’s driving while intoxicated arrest in Sag Harbor, New York, the singer is set to enter a plea this Friday. This hearing will mark Timberlake’s first return to the Hamptons since the incident occurred. Last month, the 43-year-old artist pleaded not guilty to the charge through a virtual court appearance, where his license was suspended by the judge.

Timberlake is expected to plead to a reduced charge as per the Associated Press. While the specifics of the plea deal remain undisclosed, prosecutors have hinted towards this arrangement, drawing curiosity from the public and fans.

In June, police reported observing Timberlake driving a 2025 BMW while seemingly under the influence. He was purportedly seen disregarding a stop sign and swerving out of his lane of travel. The Sag Harbor Police Statement noted that an officer found Timberlake unable to focus and performing poorly during standardized field sobriety tests.

During the initial arrest, Timberlake informed law enforcement that he had only consumed one martini and was merely following his friends home, as per court records. However, in a later hearing, his attorney, Edward Burke, challenged the notion that Timberlake was drunk at the time, highlighting alleged errors made by the police during the events leading to the arrest.

Despite the legal hurdles, Timberlake has continued his music tour throughout the summer to promote his latest album, "Everything I Thought It Was." As the artist navigates the legal process, fans await the outcome of this impactful chapter in his career.
