A spectator who attacked Sevilla's goalkeeper Marko Dmitrović during PSV's Europa League home leg in February has been given a 40-year stadium ban by the club. The attacker punched Dmitrović in the head before being restrained by the 6-foot-4-inch Serbian keeper and escorted from the pitch by security personnel. The ban is in addition to any possible fine imposed by UEFA. The fan is currently serving a three-month sentence, with one month suspended, and is also barred from the area around the stadium for two years. The club has strongly condemned the incident and stated that the fan should not have been allowed inside the stadium as he was already serving a stadium ban imposed by the Dutch Football Federation. Sevilla won the tie 3-2 on aggregate to advance to the round of 16, where they defeated Fenerbahçe and will now face Manchester United in the quarterfinals.
