Renowned actor Dolph Lundgren has recently opened up about his battle with cancer, which he has been fighting since 2015. Lundgren, who is best known for his role in the "Rocky" franchise, shared in an interview that he initially thought he had acid reflux in 2020, but it turned out to be more tumors. These were surgically removed, but Lundgren later found out that he had another tumor in his liver. Unfortunately, it had grown too large to be operated on. Following this, he was given a prognosis of two to three years to live.

The treatment that Lundgren was given caused him to experience a range of side effects, including soreness in his mouth, hands, and feet. He also struggled to eat warm, cold, or spicy foods, leading to significant weight loss. His daughter, Ida Lundgren, also spoke about the emotional toll this took on her and her family.

Fortunately, Lundgren sought a second opinion from oncologist Dr. Alexandra Drakaki, who found a mutation in the cancer that made it treatable with medication. This treatment has been successful, with the tumors shrinking by 90 percent in some parts of Lundgren's body.

Dr. Drakaki expressed her satisfaction with the progress Lundgren has made, stating that some lesions are no longer visible. Lundgren himself expressed his gratitude for the treatment, saying that he now appreciates life more and every day counts.

Lundgren's story is a reminder of the importance of seeking second opinions and the progress that can be made in the treatment of cancer.
