In response to heightened tensions and threats posed by Russia, the Danish government has issued a call to action for its citizens, urging them to make necessary preparations for a potential crisis or attack. The Defense Minister, Troels Lund Poulsen, highlighted the evolving landscape of warfare, emphasizing the need for individual readiness in the face of hybrid warfare.

Danish authorities have recommended that residents stockpile essential supplies including water, food, and medicine, to ensure they are self-sufficient for a period of potential disruption. Suggestions include storing non-perishable food items that require minimal preparation, along with a sufficient amount of water for at least three days. Additionally, citizens are advised to have emergency tools such as batteries, flashlights, and candles readily available to cope with power outages, as well as to have contingency plans for staying warm without traditional heating sources.

Furthermore, a specific precaution advised is for individuals under the age of 40 to keep iodine tablets at home in the unlikely event of a nuclear incident. Despite these preparations, Laila Reenberg, the chief of Denmark's emergency management agency, stressed the importance of staying calm and gradually accumulating the recommended resources, rather than succumbing to panic.

These proactive measures follow an escalation in the threat level of cyber attacks, with Denmark raising concerns about Russia's increasing boldness in conducting hybrid attacks against critical infrastructure and governmental bodies. As the geopolitical landscape continues to evolve, the Danish government prioritizes readiness and resilience among its populace, underscoring the importance of individual and collective preparedness in the face of emerging threats.
